Luis is a 17 inch OOAK (one of a kind) cernit sculpt by internationally acclaimed doll artist Rotraut Schrott. Apparently a musical prodigy himself, Luis wears an eclectic Mozart inspired ensemble which includes a T-shirt bearing the message "I Love Mozart," his hero. This boy is truly a one of a kind in every sense of the word. Rotraut uses no molds whatsoever. The face, legs, arms, down to each toe and finger, is sculpted new for this particular doll. Luxurious clothes are characteristic of her original dolls. Luis is no exception. His absolutely unique and original costume incorporates a medley of materials and accessories including laces, embroideries, buckles, buttons, etc. This is a cheerful little boy whose attire, which emulates his hero, reflects his own unique and lively creative energy.

Rotraut Schrott's original dolls are made of Cernit No. 1, but she adds her own unique ingredients to give her pieces an especially lifelike complexion. Rotraut pays close attention to her portraits' facial features -- the mouths are as expressive as the eyes. Luis has a boyish, intelligent smile with warm, full lips and a few teeth showing through the part.

Over the years doll collectors have shown immense interest in the work of Rotraut Schrott, so much so that she has had waiting lists of over a year. She has won countless design and art awards, including many Doll of the Year (Doty's) and the coveted Dolls Magazine's Award of Excellence.
