Primrose is a one of a kind Wax over Porcelain doll creation by American (Washington State) doll artist Susan Krey for Krey Baby Doll Company. She is created from the doll artist's original clay sculpture, from which a unique mold is fashioned. Primrose is an imaginative child portrait, capturing a very particular childlike expression and sentiment, told in a melding of realism and classic nostalgia. She is dressed in muted hues from vintage materials by the artist. This doll stands approximately 27 inches tall.
Susan Krey began creating beautiful world class porcelain and wax over porcelain dolls in the 1980's, when the doll world was experiencing an exciting explosion of talent. Primrose is a signed Krey Classic doll, which beyond being a one of a kind, guarantees also that this one of a kind concept doll has been costumed wth vintage fabrics.
