Ashton-Drake

Ashton-Drake produced these popularly priced but high quality collectible porcelain dolls. These predominantly soft bodied collectible dolls were most often released as part of a themed series that was limited by production year. Series were diversely inspired by children's storybooks, historical figures, nursery rhymes, cultures and ethnicities to name a few sources. Many of the best known contemporary doll artists were engaged to design them and with exceptional results, with some of them became highly sought after collectors' items. All of them show the same stylistic touches visible in the one-of-kind and very limited edition dolls made by the artists who designed them. Many of these dolls are signed pieces, as Dear Little Dollies Ltd often held signing events with the doll makers present.
