Abbie, by English doll artist Linda Murray, with her lovely smile, seems very happy with life! She wears an ivory silk dress with smocked and rushed detail, decorated with soft blue ribbon and antique hand-made ivory cotton lace. An ecru Nottingham lace bonnet covers her soft pale blonde mohair wig, and compliments her smiling painted and glazed blue eyes. She cuddles a small brown bear. Abbie is made from Linda Murray's characteristic and own developed medium of what she calls "ShellCoth", a treated transparent fabric which is hard formed and painted for an extremely realistic and beautiful look, and is as well very durable. Size of doll is 20 inches. Abbie is a limited edition of 20, although the hand-made nature and ShellCloth process make each doll virtually a one of a kind with a limited edition costume.
