It's Only Me is a One of a Kind direct sculpt porcelain art doll by Swedish doll artist Maria Ahren, known for her exquisitely well researched and accurate period costuming, as well as her sensitive facial sculpting. In this piece, she has portrayed the comic stock character from the Italian Commedia dell'Arte theatre, the light hearted and nimble Arlecchino, or Harlequin. Wearing his characteristic checkered costume, he reveals his personality from behind his mask for a young admirer, who is drawn back in surprise. Ever the astute servant of his master, Harlequin nevertheless pursues his Columbine at the comic expense of his master's designs.
