Master Toby is limited edition porcelain soft body art doll porcelain soft body art doll by American (Wisconsin) doll artist Mary Ann Oldenburg. This Victorian era little blonde boy comes with his wooden toy horse which he is holding. He has porcelain posable limbs, breast/shoulder plate, swivel head, and his face is hand painted, including and especially his eyes - the signature of this artist. Master Toby was created in a limited edition of only 15. He stands approximately 17 inches tall.
Mary Ann Oldenburg has been an accomplished doll artist since the early 1970's, and she became involved with porcelain doll making in the 1990's, doing mostly small editions of 30 to 50. Her specialty is children. She has won numerous awards at UFDC, IDMA and IDEX. Several of her dolls have received the DOLLS Award of Excellence.
