Peter and the Goat is a 2012 creation of Canadian West Coast artist Marlene Xenis. He is Number 23 of an edition of only 75 pieces, and he comes with the beautifully solid maple carved wood goat, which is painted and shaded in creams and taupes and is wearing a bell around his neck tied on with a leather lace. This character is from the beloved classic Johanna Spyri story of Heidi. He is hand painted and signed, and comes with Certificate of Authenticity and hangtag. Peter stands approximately 16 inches tall and is wearing denim trousers and a linen shirt. He is carrying a handkerchief in his pocket embroidered with his initial "P". Xenis dolls are an all wood body construction, with moveable joints. Heads, hands and feet are carved from solid maple, than hand painted.
