Romulus and Remus are the legendary twins from ancient Roman history/folklore, who were feral and raised by a wolf, who provided milk for these twins. The city of Rome was founded by Romulus. Pat Kolesar created this rendition of Romulus and Remus, depicting them taking milk from the nurturing wolf. The entire set has been hand sculpted, painted and hand-signed by the artist, who is now deceased. Her doll art is a significant part of American doll history.
These twins are not fixed to the wood base and can be positioned. The Wolf is fixed to the wood base. Romulus and Remus are each approximately 6 inches tall. From table top to top of wolf is approximately 12 inches tall. The decorated wood base is approximately 11.5 inches wide and approximately 24 inches long.
