The artist takes enormous pains in her authentic historical costuming, but her directly sculpted and painted porcelain faces lend beautiful tender human expression to her pieces. And don't miss the detailing on the hands . . . every part of Marie Ahren's sculpts are exquisitely detailed. This couple's pose captures poignantly the reserved passion of this madly in love couple of a bygone era. The artist has also constructed the props that complete this vignette and come with the dolls.

We are presenting here the only "Love" piece available to collectors. The artist certifies that only two of this piece has been hand-made by her, one of which will never be sold but has been made for her own private collection with the intent to be used solely for museum exhibitions. Marie Ahren's talent is acclaimed. She has even been commissioned by the Swedish Royal Family, and the Mayor of Uppsala, Sweden, and member of the Royal Family has placed many of Ahren's dolls in the 500-year-old castle of that town.
