Maria and Melvin, a beautiful young couple from Costa Rica, are friends of Dear Little Dollies, and they have come to Bellmore with a special gift for all to enjoy at the annual Bellmore Tree Lighting event, and throughout this Holiday time of year. Maria and Melvin believe that this time of year, Christmas, is the most truly special time of year for families, and especially for children. In a time of worry and anxiety, Christmas is just the antidote. Christmas is a time for love and union, for announcing tidings of joy to the world, and for making this world a little more, well . . . “magical”. Maria and Melvin, as a special gift to Bellmore, will arrange for the Polar Express to make a stop in Bellmore this year, at Dear Little Dollies, on the occasion of Bellmore’s Tree Lighting on December 2nd! Don’t be late!
Love of Trains
For years, this couple have been collecting toy train sets and all of the accoutrements with the hope that they will one day soon open a museum of toy trains and other delights, for children of all ages, in the rural area of their country. In this way, children from this poor area will be able to experience the excitement of what children in so many other parts of the world experience — the wonderment of toy trains — tiny train replicas which move on tiny little tracks, puff smoke, and make train stops! Tiny trains need tiny little conductors, and tiny little village people to inhabit the world of miniature trains. All of this will be arranged specially for the Bellmore Tree Lighting, in the store windows of Dear Little Dollies doll and gift boutique on the north end of Bedford Avenue, where you can also enjoy a free hot chocolate and cookie, courtesy of the doll shop, and join in the Christmas caroling tradition there. All aboard the Polar Express!
